Too Much Instagram Membership

How often do you wish you had someone to ask what you should post to your Instagram account, whether to use a Reel, a carousel, or a Story, or if every writer feels awkward about promoting their writing?

I’m making it my mission to demystify Instagram for writers so you can leverage the tools it offers to find your readers and market your work without it taking over your life, or getting in the way of your writing.

Read on to find out more about how I can support you.

Hello, I’m Nicola, social media strategist and educator.

Your work deserves to be read and I’ve created this membership to support you with getting it into the hands of your readers, by harnessing the power of Instagram.

I love teaching writers how to use Instagram because I know how creative your are, and how hard you’re working on your craft, but marketing and promotion are probably not your zone of genius.

Many of you are used to using Instagram casually to update friends and family, but it’s also likely you’re not used to using it strategically.

In the past, you might been able to expect more support from your publishers but with the increased volumes of books being published, and shrinking budgets, a lot of the heavy lifting is falling on the shoulders of writers and authors. And that’s if you’re traditionally published - indie writers are doing it ALL.

I want to make sure writers can access advice, guidance, ideas and emotional support (because those nerves about being more visible are real) that is tailored to the needs of writers, and that also respects your creative energy. You’re writers, not influencers, after all.

I want you to know what to post to your Instagram account, how to use Instagram to connect with your readers, how to show them why they should care about - and buy - your book. I love showing writers and authors that there are ways to approach Instagram that suit you.

Writers come to me because you’re ready to build a platform to promote your writing and books from. Together, we’ll work on your understanding of your audience, your content, your technical skills and your confidence.

Instagram’s super-power is it can work as ‘Word Of Mouth With A Megaphone’ if you focus on building connections, rather than trying to drive transactions. This is what you’ll learn to do through the TMI membership so I hope you’ll consider joining me.

Read on to find out more about the benefits of becoming a TOO MUCH INSTAGRAM member.

When you join the TMI membership, this is what you can expect

  • A weekly online chat with me and the community to share ideas, and encourage you to keep showing up on Instagram.

It doesn’t matter how many courses or memberships you pay for if you don’t do the work so I’ll be (gently) holding you accountable as well as being your biggest Insta-cheerleader ;-)

  • Content inspiration banks, curated by me and tailored especially for writers, PLUS regular Content Create-a-Long sessions when you can create content in company, whether it’s body-doubling or accountability you’re looking for.

  • LIVE Ask Me Anything calls: bring your questions about Instagram and I’ll use my experiences and insights to untangle the problem and advise on what you should do next. Replays will be available because life is busy and I wouldn’t want anyone to miss out.

  • Opportunities to work in community with fellow writers using Instagram. There’ll be spaces to support one another and share your own experiences and ideas with one another.

  • Guest speakers from the book and writing worlds and chances to ask them your questions.

PLUS best practice case studies curated by me so you can learn from writers who’re already doing a great job of promoting their work.

  • Audio recordings of written posts so you can still access support, ideas and insights, even when you’re sick of staring at your screen or need to go about your day. Podcasts and audiobooks make the most dreary of domestic chores bearable for me so I’m excited to offer this little extra.

What does it cost to join?

£12/ $15 per month (or £120/ $150 for an annual subscription, a saving of 17% on paying monthly).
